Afenyo-Markin an experienced law-maker and lawyer with vast experience in cyber-crime laws and related matters. He holds, Master of Arts degree in International Politics and Security Studies from Bradford University, UK; Bachelor of Laws   Law with Management Studies from Buckingham University.He is a Barrister at law and was called to the bar after completing his Professional Law Course at the Ghana School of law.

He served as a Board Chairman of Ghana Water Company Limited; Formerly a member of the Public Accounts Committee,; Parliament House Ghana Member of ECOWAS Parliament ; Member Defence and Interior Committee, Finance Committee, Vice Chairman of the Appointment and Business Committee respectively; Parliament House Ghana; Member international Bar Association , Member; Commonwealth Lawyers Association; Member Young Fraud Lawyers Association; Member Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

He is the Member of Parliament for Efutu Constituency; Former Associate and Partner at Dehyena Chambers;  Former  Chief Executive Officer, Excel Courier and Former Chairman, Western Investment & Consult (Gh) Ltd .

Afenyo-Markin has extensive experience in Financial Crime, Security, Human Rights and Constitutional Law.
